Are you a visual artist whose works have been published in exhibition catalogues, books, magazines or newspapers in Quebec?
You could be eligible for the visual arts payment made every year by Copibec.
To receive a payment, you need to register your eligible publications in your online account by March 20, 2020. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- At least one of your works was published between 2016 and 2018
- Your work appeared in a Quebec paper-format publication: exhibition catalogue, book, newspaper or magazine
- If the publication was a book: you must not be one of the book’s copyright owners
- Your published works must be registered in your Copibec account by the March 20, 2020 deadline
How to register your content
In your online account, go to the Register to a visual arts lump sum payment section and add the publications in which your works have appeared.
Important: You need to register your content by the March 20, 2020 deadline. These lump-sum payments are not retroactive. Once the deadline has passed, the available amounts will be divided among the eligible individuals.
To register content for a deceased artist, please email Isabelle Billeau directly at email@example.com.

I already have an online account but I don’t remember my password. How can I log in?
No problem! Enter your email address, click Forgot your password? and we’ll send you an email so you can reset your password.
I tried to sign up online but my social insurance number already exists in the system. What should I do?
If you’ve already been paid royalties by Copibec, it’s normal for your SIN to already be in the system. To access your existing account, please email us at email@example.com.
I don’t have any new publications to add. Do I have to re-register the publications that are already in my account?
No. As long as all your eligible content has been registered in your account and your contact information is up to date, you don’t have to do anything else.
I need to add works from a periodical that’s already registered in my account. Do I have to register the publication again?
No, you don’t have to re-register the publication (document). You can simply add the publication year and the number of works appearing for that year. To do so, click the pencil icon (to the left of the publication), then click Add year (in this document) and save. Don’t forget to check that the quantities and years have been recorded correctly.
