Spirale: Magazine of the Year

Spirale: Magazine of the Year

For the second year running, Copibec had the immense honor of collaborating on the Prix dexcellence de la SODEP, presenting the Magazine of the Year award to Spirale magazine.

This award honors the cultural magazine that has distinguished itself the most in 2023, and has managed to challenge and surprise the cultural periodical community in an exceptional way.

“Through this concrete action, we wish to continue our commitment and support to the cultural periodical community. As Quebecs collective management society for reproduction rights, Copibec is very proud of this partnership. In 2024, it is more than necessary and even essential to support our local collaborators. Congratulations to all on your nominations!”

“New format, new graphic design, new website, new periodicity, new partnerships: in 2023, Spirale entered a phase of major changes that have enabled it to better reposition itself in the ecology of cultural magazines. In response to the human and environmental challenges facing the publishing world today, Spirale has chosen to place care at the heart of its editorial program. The magazine thus asserts itself as an organ of thought whose values – critical, ethical and aesthetic – are reflected not only in its high-level content, but also in the very production of the printed object, its digital extensions and the events that extend the life of publications in the cultural milieu.”
