Sugar and election season... nothing like it to shake up our blood sugar levels and alarm our heart rate. Then there's the anxiety of the past few weeks, but thank goodness for STAT!

Speaking of stats, did you know that our podcast series has reached 58,000 listens? We're delighted to see that our project continues to grow in popularity with the general public.

To ensure that copyright is on the election platforms of the various parties, we’re going to remind the next government that it must commit to:

• Immediately modernize the Copyright Act with respect to fair dealing
• Implement artificial intelligence protections for the creative industries
• Protect the cultural exception in trade negotiations to safeguard our cultural sovereignty
  
  

Who would have thought that the word “sovereignty” would have such echoes for culture! That’s what happens in times of crisis.
