I would like to take this opportunity to thank Laurent Dubois, outgoing administrator of Copibec, who has invested a great deal of time and effort in the last few years in the changes that have taken place within the organization and who has been able to manage several files with agility.

I would also like to welcome Pierre-Yves Villeneuve, author, literary director, editor, translator and member of the UNEQ Board of Directors, who is joining our Board.

We are preparing to participate in the 41st AQUOPS conference, which will be held from April 4 to 6 in Quebec City, under the theme "Learning together in the digital age". This will be an opportunity to meet with teachers and encourage them to declare works reproduced in the classroom, which will help improve the conditions of practice for authors.

In the upcoming federal budget, we hope that Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland will implement the changes announced in April 2022 to ensure fair and equitable compensation for Canadian creators.
